As reported on Thursday, December 19th, during a meeting of the Early Childhood Education Cabinet, Connecticut was denied on its third attempt to secure grant funding thru the federal Race to the Top program.  Much of the CT application focused on the development of the QRIS rating system for child care providers.  No news has been shared yet explaining how the rating system may develop without the grant funding.
